Lumenpulse Group announced that it has been awarded LEED® (Silver certification) for their Headquarters located in Longueuil, Quebec. The LEED rating system, developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), is the foremost programme for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.
“We care about the community around us and the natural surrounds we all need to help protect. It was important to us as a company to be responsible for our manufacturing and distribution footprint,” said Francois-Xavier Souvay, Chief Executive Officer of the Lumenpulse Group. “Knowing we have created a workplace with a smaller footprint on the environment and cleaner overall daily operations gives us an immense feeling of satisfaction.”
“Building operations are nearly 40% of the solution to the global climate change challenge,” said Rick Fedrizzi, President, CEO & Founding Chair, U.S. Green Building Council. “While climate change is a global problem, innovative companies like the Lumenpulse Group are addressing it through local solutions.”
The new Lumenpulse Group headquarters in Longueuil, Quebec, was designed and built by Montoni and has achieved LEED certification for implementing practical and measurable strategies and solutions aimed at achieving high performance in: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
