CarbiCrete offers precast concrete manufacturers the process, materials and support to produce high-quality precast concrete in their existing plant at a lower-cost, and in a way that reduces their carbon footprint.
After water, concrete is the most abundant substance on the planet. But it's made with cement, the production of which accounts for 5% of the world's GHG emissions. We offer concrete manufacturers the process, materials, and support to make cement-free, carbon-negative concrete.
Our process involves replacing cement in the mix with ground steel slag (a waste by-product of the steel-making process) and curing the resultant concrete with CO2. Conventional concrete is made with cement, the production of which accounts for nearly 10% of the world’s CO2 emissions!

We’ve replaced cement in the mix with steel slag, an industrial waste that is far cheaper than cement.
Using carbonation activation, CO2 is injected into the wet concrete to give it its strength. Because we capture and permanently sequester CO2 in the concrete, these products are carbon-negative.
Our patented technology can be implemented in any concrete product plant.
CarbiCrete technology can be implemented easily in any precast concrete plant. The mixing of steel slag with aggregate and water, and the subsequent step of block formation are done using the standard equipment already in place. CarbiCrete manages the installation and integration of the absorption chamber as well as the CO2 tank that is stored onsite.
